mark edmondson: composer and re-recording mixer
Mark Edmondson grew up in the DC suburb of Fairfax, VA, and has been employed in the music/audio post production industry since 1993. He has composed countless short-form works for clients including Animal Planet, Discovery Channel, and National Geographic. He has mixed several thousand hours of television and film, and has mastered hundreds of music CD’s, from rock to ska to classical, for regional and national artists. Mark is widely regarded as an authority on audio post production, and he continues to lecture at pro conferences such as NAB and AES, as well as teach and write technical articles. He spearheaded Discovery’s Audio Post facility, where he conceived and designed their audio department, and holds status as their first full-time post mixer. He now lives in Los Angeles, where he works as a composer and post mixer.
